3. Project Almanac
A Butterfly Effect type story where repeated trips cause unwanted problems. A brilliant high school student and his friends uncover blueprints for a mysterious device with limitless potential, inadvertently putting lives in danger.
4. Timecrimes
Indie & Foreign – you know this one’s worth watching because it’ll be different. Timecrimes is a great Spanish movie about time travel. A man being pursued by a murderer stumbles into a mysterious lab and accidentally travels back in time.
5. Primer
This movie is very complex, don’t let it be your first time travel movie ever. Two small time engineers trip upon an invention that far surpasses their aspirations. Interesting technology and interesting issues of crossing one’s own path when time traveling.
6. 2009 – Lost Memories
Another foreign movie, this time from South Korea, with a special twist to the time travel idea. A cop suspects that things are not the way they should be. Did someone tamper with timelines and no one noticed?
7. Time Lapse
You don’t always have to physically travel through time. Knowing is enough to cause all the problems. Three friends discover a mysterious machine that takes pictures 24 hours into the future and conspire to use it for personal gain, until disturbing and dangerous images begin to develop.
8. Time Changer
A faith based time travel story that makes us take a step back to look critically at the world we live in. The year is 1890 and Bible Professor Russell Carlisle has written a new manuscript. His book is about to receive an unanimous endorsement at Grace Bible Seminary until his colleague, Dr. Norris Anderson, has a “difficulty with something.”
